Jan Alberti

Jan is member of the Management Board of bmp dedicated to new acquisitions and business development of portfolio companies as well as to the acquisition of new fund mandates and responsible for marketing. Jan is actively supporting portfolio companies of the venture capital funds managed by bmp (among others: adsquare, calimoto, komoot, coman-software, DCI digital car institute, trinckle 3D and uninow). Jan is identifying investment opportunities and trends, negotiate funding rounds and foster portfolio companies through the pitfalls of product and business development, marketing, sales strategy and financing. His investment focus is on companies from the field of the internet and the digital sector (SaaS, mobile, marketplaces, emobility, HRTech). Before joining bmp, Jan served for six years in managerial position at GO:INcubator, a business incubator for high-tech startups, and was responsible for the business development and seed financing of over 60 startups, mainly in the ICT sector. Prior to that, Jan had positions in controlling and investment banking at Siemens and HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt in the US and Luxembourg. Jan holds a master degree in business administration from University of Potsdam. Upon graduation, he received the Dr. degree and wrote a thesis about “business models for incubators”. For that purpose he had research and working periods in Cambridge, UK; Helsinki, Finland and Xi’an, China.
